In addition to the IPI showroom, IPI’s Move & Install, Textiles Services and Federal Surplus operations are located in Des Moines.
- The IPI Showroom, located at 1445 E Grand Avenue in Des Moines, was constructed in 2009 without any government appropriations. Named the Baysden Building, the IPI Showroom offers customers a location to view IPI products and meet with IPI staff. It also serves as the Sales, Customer Service & Marketing Office for IPI. Three incarcerated women from the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women are employed in the showroom as office clerks. The Showroom hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm.
- The Move & Install division performs moving services for schools, university and state agencies as well as installation of new products. This division employs upwards of thirty men from the Newton Correctional Release Center during the busy summer months.
- The Iowa Federal Surplus Property Agency makes excess federal property available for use by eligible organizations within the State of Iowa. A variety of items are available through this program such as office furniture, tools and shop equipment, vehicles, construction equipment and many more items.
