IPI staff members were recognized recently at the Iowa Department of Correction Employee Recognition Awards and the Iowa Governor's Volunteer Awards.
Keith Paulson, Supervisor in IPI's Anamosa location, was awarded the Governor's Volunteer Award on June 6th and the DOC - Humanitarian of the Year Award on June 8th. Keith is the President and founding member of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club Chapter 2 and has successfully raised thousands of dollars for numerous charities. He is also an Anamosa Volunteer Fireman, volunteer Safety Coordinator for IPI, and a valued member of the ASP Employee Relations Committee. Thank you, Keith, for your volunteerism not only for ASP but outside of work.

Julie Holtorf, Supervisor of IPI's Rockwell City operation, received the DOC's Excellence in Safety Award. Since assuming her role in Rockwell City, Julie has dedicated much time to process improvements, safety training, cleanliness and organization. Under Julie’s direction, the I/I workers have established many training protocols, updated emergency response plans, implemented PPE requirements, completed Job Hazard Analyses, reviewed all SDS records, reviewed LOTO equipment, updated all LOTO procedures, implemented forklift training and inspection protocol, and worked to organize all areas of the production floor.
IPI congratulates Keith and Julie on their accomplishments and thank them for their dedication to the IDOC and IPI's missions.
